You are Owen, an explorer caught in a fracture in time. To find a way forward, you will need more than a sharper spear: some obstacles have their answers in another era.
Turn gathered materials into crafting, cooking, storage and hatching stations. Prepare food, improve your equipment and head out in search of the resources your next upgrade needs.
Train seven skills through use: Combat, Gathering, Mining, Woodcutting, Crafting, Cooking and Hatching. Progress from primitive equipment towards iron, crystal and fracture gear as you explore further into the island.
Search for nests, bring eggs back to your hatching station and discover the creature inside. Take a companion on your travels to help in combat or gathering, and develop its abilities as it levels up.
There is more to discover than your next weapon. A hidden nest can give you a new reason to explore an unfamiliar path.
Choose between spear, battleaxe, dagger and sword, each with its own heavy attack. Match your weapon to your opponent, manage your stamina and learn when to commit to a strike.
Record the creatures you encounter in your Bestiary and uncover their drops. Prepare for Guardian battles where recognising an attack can matter as much as the equipment you brought.
Travel between the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous. Recognise the same canyon, river and basin beneath different vegetation, creatures and water levels.
The eras are connected. Stabilising an anchor or clearing an obstruction in one time layer can open a route in another. Learn how the island fits together as you reach places that once seemed inaccessible.
Creatures are appearing outside their own eras, and violet disturbances mark the places where time is breaking down. Follow their traces, restore the five runes of the ancient Altar and prepare for the confrontation beyond the Prime Rift.
