Animate Desktop

Bring Your Desktop to Life with Animate Desktop

Animate Desktop is a modern, ultra-optimized live wallpaper software for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Designed to be lightweight and respectful of your hardware: Animate Desktop operates with minimal energy impact and automatically pauses whenever you launch games or full-screen applications.

The core application is completely free — no ads, no subscriptions, and no paywalls for essential features.

🎵 Real-Time Audio Reactivity

Watch your wallpaper groove to your sound! Animate Desktop analyzes audio playing on your PC (Spotify, YouTube, games, or media players):

• Dynamic response to bass, beats, and melodies.
• Vintage analog VU meters, glowing tubes, and futuristic spectrum bars.
• Now Playing widget: shows song title, artist, and album artwork right on your screen.

Enjoy a versatile collection of crafted interactive and audio-reactive themes out of the box:

• RetroAmp Visualizer: Authentic needle VU meters, warm tube glow, and 11 audio visualizer presets.
• Synthwave Neon Sunset: 80s retro grid, sunset pulse on bass hit, mountains, and a cyber supercar.
• Matrix 3D Code Rain: 3D raining digital code with depth perspective and EMP bass waves.

Any wallpaper can also be used as a screensaver. Set an idle timer, and your favorite animated theme will automatically activate whenever you step away from your computer.

Run interactive Web and HTML-based wallpapers with audio reactivity. Animate Desktop routes system audio directly into compatible web wallpaper audio listeners.
