Hunt the rulers of the Pirate Court in a single-player action RPG fought across dangerous islands and hostile seas.
The current game is playable from beginning to end, with the main campaign and overall progression already in place.
During Early Access, development will focus primarily on improving and refining the existing game, including combat, quests, encounters, balance, performance, presentation, and additional layers of polish.
Some cutscenes are currently fairly basic, including the introductory cutscene, while certain quest lines and encounters are still being expanded or refined. These areas will be a particular focus throughout development.
There are already many systems, quests, areas, enemies, items, and activities to experience. The intention for the eventual 1.0 version is primarily to build upon and refine this existing content, with additional content added where it meaningfully improves the game.
Several years have passed since Mutiny Island and Fortune’s Favor. Captain Red has reclaimed his ship, but freedom has not cleared his name.
The Pirate Court has declared Red a traitor and placed a bounty on his head. Desperate hunters, corrupt officials, and Court loyalists now have reason to come after him.
Coin supplied the money. Blade supplied the bodies. Judge supplied the paperwork. Admiral supplied the cannons.
Red intends to find each of them.
The Court controls the seas through four powerful rulers:
After uncovering the Court Charts, pursue Coin, Blade, and Judge in your preferred order. Each campaign path leads through different islands, enemies, quests, and encounters before the fight eventually turns toward Admiral and the Court’s fleet.
Battle rival pirates, Court soldiers, undead creatures, monsters, elite enemies, and bosses in real-time action RPG combat.
Fight with swords, axes, firearms, magical abilities, shields, and consumables. Earn experience, improve Captain Red’s attributes, and unlock new skills as you progress.
Command Red’s ship across open waters, exchange cannon fire with hostile vessels, break through blockades, and take on larger naval encounters.
Collect weapons, armor, shields, jewellery, spells, consumables, and rare equipment. Experiment with melee, ranged, defensive, or ability-focused builds depending on how you prefer to play.
Trade with merchants, improve equipment through blacksmiths, and search side routes and hidden areas for useful rewards.
Complete optional stories, help people living beneath the Court’s rule, and uncover more of the world surrounding Captain Red’s campaign.
Mutiny Island 2: The Pirate’s Court is currently under active development by a solo indie developer.
The main campaign can currently be played from beginning to end, but the game is not yet considered finished. Early Access development will continue to refine and improve the experience based on testing and player feedback.
Players may currently encounter:
I will try to preserve save compatibility wherever practical, but larger changes may occasionally require a new game. Known save risks will be communicated whenever possible.
Current development priorities include campaign reliability, quest flow, encounter variety, boss battles, naval combat, progression balance, performance, accessibility, controller support, cutscenes, and overall presentation.
Some systems, encounters, cutscenes, and quest lines may also be expanded where doing so improves the overall experience.
These are current development goals rather than guaranteed final features, and priorities may change in response to testing, technical limitations, and player feedback.
If you would prefer to experience the game after more balancing and presentation work has been completed, consider following the project and returning after future updates.
Feedback during development is especially useful for:
When reporting a problem, please include the active quest, what happened before the issue, your system specifications, and whether reloading resolved it.
Follow the project, leave feedback, and help shape Captain Red’s next voyage.
