About

Thread a slalom across an empty lot, brake late for a hairpin on a real mountain road, and cross the line knowing exactly where the time went. Cone & Crest is solo time attack, the grassroots way: one car on course, one clock, and always one more run.

Autocross puts a course of cones on an open lot. Lanes tighten from wide Open Lot courses to narrow Nationals layouts, and Boulevard events take the cones onto short road courses. Free Race draws a fresh course from any seed.

Hill climbs are the other half of the game, on roads rebuilt from real map and elevation data: Pikes Peak, Mount Washington, Monte Bondone, Schauinsland, Mount Haruna, Snow Farm Road (Cardrona), Croix-Morand (Mont-Dore), and Sternberk. Run the full climb, one section, or the descent. Set the season, time of day, and weather, even different weather low and high on the mountain.

Every tour draws a new branching map.

  • Three legs of cone events and road sprints, each ending on a mountain climb.
  • Three runs per event, best one counts. A restart uses a run.
  • Miss the cut, take a strike. Three strikes, or a missed final climb, ends the tour.
  • Hazards like rain, hot tires, loose gravel, and One Shot rules raise the pay.
  • Win or lose, cash, parts, and license XP carry over, from Novice up to Pro.

Twelve trophy cars are earned on tour, never sold.

44 cars in seven classes and three drivetrains, from small hatchbacks to supercars, a formula car, and a monster truck. Swap in anything from a twin-rotor to a V12, add a turbo, tune the chassis, and fit tires for the weather. The dyno and class update before you drive. Paint it, pick the wheels. License XP hands you new cars along the way.

Every road, descent, and featured autocross layout has a Steam leaderboard. Times are adjusted for car class, so any car can compete, and each class gets a board of its own. Race a ghost from the board with the gap live on screen, or share a run from your history as a code. Every Monday brings a new autocross board and a weekly league round on a mountain road, and a podium wins a car you can't buy. The telemetry analyzer shows where a run got away.

Draw your own autocross, boulevard, or hill climb in the track editor and share it as a code. Build a league for friends with its own class limits and rules, and trade results by code. When you just want to drive, free roam any course and pause into photo mode.
