Explore a Shifting Apartment Building

Before opening a door, you can never be certain whether it will lead to a familiar corridor, or to a room that was never there before.

Investigate What Was Left Behind

Examine personal belongings, documents, local reports, maintenance records, and traces of everyday life. Piece these scattered details together into Clues that persist across loops.

Different clues can support and reinforce one another. An anomaly that once seemed impossible to understand may gain a new explanation later, while evidence you have already uncovered can assist with investigations and attribute checks.

Carry Understanding Through Every Loop

When your Steps run out, or an encounter leaves you unable to continue, you return to the beginning. Most physical items cannot be carried back. Knowledge can. Major discoveries are converted into Insight, which can be used to strengthen your attributes and expand what you are capable of doing. Each loop may take something from you, but it should also bring you closer to an exit.
