About

The books aren't the only things that should have been returned.

It's the year 2000, and you're the new night crew at Bellweather Library. Serve the patrons, keep the place running, and save toward a library of your own. It sounds like an ordinary job. Then the phone rings, something moves in the stacks, and the rules start making sense.

Keep the library running

Check library cards, find requested books, process loans and returns, and tackle the shift's chores. Shelve, dust, water plants, stamp, and mend books before closing up. Some patrons are funny. Some are difficult. Some should not be here.

Find out what happened here

Follow notes, calls, messages, and unsettling encounters into Bellweather's past. Watch the security cameras and listen carefully: a routine shift can turn into a chase. The story builds across the nights, with quiet tension, sudden scares, and a library that becomes harder to trust.

Work alone or bring a crew

Play offline in Solo Shift, or share the duties with up to four players in online co-op. Proximity voice chat lets you hear your coworkers nearby. Night-by-night saves let you return for the next shift.

Put your wages to work

Anyone in the crew can spend the shared wallet in the end-of-night Store. Buy useful upgrades for watering, stamping, and book repair, or decorate the desks with collectible figures. Purchases leave your separate library savings untouched.

A longer story in development

The full game is being developed as a 14-night campaign. The free demo covers the first three nights; later nights are still in development.
