Bad hole card? Hold it between your palms and rub it into the card you need.
In The Crooked Hand, you'll face crafty opponents in single-player five-card stud. You can change your cards, but they can secretly switch theirs, swap your hole card, or even see what you're hiding. Winning means playing your own hand well and figuring out what the other side is up to.
Pick a rank and suit, then rub your hole card into shape. Make a pair, complete a straight, or turn an unremarkable hand into a chance to strike back.
But every change spends some of your limited Power. Is this hand worth it, or should you fold and save your chance for the next one? Just because you can change a card doesn't mean you always should.
Your opponent's expression changes as the hand unfolds. A smile doesn't necessarily mean a strong hand. That moment of hesitation when you raise might tell you more.
Weigh their reactions against the face-up cards and the betting. Keep up the pressure, call to see the next card, or get out while you can? Win with a strong hand, or make your opponent lose the nerve to keep betting.

Win matches to earn Insight, then spend it on training to master new tricks and supernatural abilities.
Recognize hole cards you've handled, switch in a card hidden up your sleeve, peek at your opponent's hole card, or even swap it with your own. Choose what to learn next and find new ways to deal with increasingly devious opponents.
Choose your route between matches, making time to train and rest before the next showdown.
Protect your chips, build your skills, and see through your opponents' tricks as you advance through the tournament. How far you get depends on the cards you hold and how you change them.
