About

Phonemae is a short narrative incremental. Souls pass through your workshop, and you need to fill quotas. Start by manually extracting their essence, then when you're tired, you buy machines to automate. At what cost?

You have been appointed Manager of the works

Reality runs on souls. Yours is the floor that keeps them rolling: the ones already out there pass through for upkeep, and the new ones are made to order, because the quota says so. Fall behind and reality overloads. The notes from upstairs are very clear about that.

Extract memories, if you can afford to be gentle. And try not to read what is written inside the souls as they pass.

  • Meet a quota that only grows.
  • Automate, pay the price.
  • Keep something for yourself at the Loom when the works overload.
  • 20 achievements. Playable in English and French.
  • No ads, no microtransactions.

You are not the first Manager. You may not be the first you.
