The show starts when the original voices stop

Dub Night Live takes a short clip, strips the cast out of it, and puts a microphone in front of you. You get the picture, you get the music, you get the line you have to hit. Whatever comes out of your mouth becomes the new official version.

No typing. No text to speech. Your actual voice, your actual bad accent, on a real cue.

Party night, up to 8 players

Invite your friends, hand out the roles, roll tape. Everybody performs their own characters at the same time and nobody hears anybody else while it is happening, so the first time you hear the whole thing is the first time everyone hears it.

Wrap your lines and you drop into the green room with the people who already finished, where you can talk trash while the stragglers sweat through take four. When the last person is done, the lights go down, the curtains open, and the party watches the finished cut together with little speaker portraits over the frame so you know exactly who to blame.

The casting desk

Before a word is recorded, the host casts the clip. Drag a player onto a character and the part is theirs. One player can take several characters, so two people can cover a four-hander, and anyone left uncast watches as a spectator.

Running a lineup? The casting carries over to the next episode, with KEEP LAST CASTING, AUTO-CAST and SHUFFLE waiting for you, plus a countdown so nobody has to say "ready" out loud.

Or take the booth alone

Solo runs line by line. Listen to the original, hit record, play it back, do it again if you can do better. Star the take you want, then sit through your own premiere like a real actor. Line up a few clips into a lineup and the next one starts on its own, so the show never stops for a menu.

The Cutting Room

Every clip in the game is made by players, and the tools ship inside the game.

Drop in a video, pull the voices out of the soundtrack so the music and the explosions survive, mark your lines on the timeline, cast your characters, grab their portraits straight off a frame, and send the whole thing to the Workshop.

You can test play your own clip in the real stage before you publish it, which is usually where you discover a line is two seconds too short.

Channel surfing

The Clip Browser is the front page of everything the community uploads. Sort by what is hot today, what is hot this week, or what has survived all of it. Filter by length, cast size, language or age rating, subscribe with one click, and it lands in your library ready to perform.
