About

Can you resolve your bizarre, recurring dream?

The Zoo is a short, hand-painted interactive story about a recurring dream. Well, maybe it's more like a nightmare. Spoiler alert, the dream always ends with an animal attacking you. So yes, let's call it a nightmare. But aside from the deadly animals, the Zoo is mostly benign.

Back to the point. You're having a recurring dream about a zoo. The question is, can you work within the constraints of the dream to force a different ending? A non-lethal ending, perhaps?

Wander the Welcome Pavilion, African Savanna, Arctic Experience, Monkey Island, and the RainForest. Talk to what and who you find there. Every choice is yours, but the dream keeps its own time, and if you linger too long, something awful is always waiting.

Features

  • A complete, hand-painted narrative
  • Explore a dream-logic zoo across distinct, storybook exhibits
  • A recurring-nightmare loop that rewards curiosity over caution
  • Multiple endings, and more than one way to finally escape the zoo
  • An original score that drifts between dream, dread, and the flat hum of waking life
  • A sit-down-and-finish experience, meant for a single quiet evening

The Zoo is proudly built with Godot and Ink, and all scenes are painted in Procreate.
