About

Haunt a forgotten shrine with no body of your own. Possess passing pilgrims, guide them to the altar, and claim the Essence left in their offerings. Decide what will carry your faith, grow the shrine around that choice, then defend it when darkness crawls out of the ruins.

BUILD A FAITH

Choose one path for your shrine, with no changing it later. Put your faith in people and gather a congregation of devotees. Let nature reclaim the plaza through sacred groves, animals and powerful Gatherings. Or uncover the Old Faith by clearing buried sites and recovering sherds for the Reliquary. Each path has its own cards, economy and way of reshaping the shrine.

GROW BY DAY

Every offering gives you Essence to spend before dusk. Bring more pilgrims to the altar, summon spirits to help with deliveries, cultivate a living sanctuary or dig through the remains beneath your feet. The shrine does not stay still. Crowds gather, plants spread and forgotten structures return as your chosen path grows stronger.

DEFEND IT AFTER DARK

When night falls, the pilgrims disappear and creatures advance on the flame. Choose one of four rites, then fire it yourself as the attack closes in. Between waves, choose new boons for your loadout. Freeze enemies before shattering them, spread Blight from the dead, leave burning ground or send attacks bouncing through a crowd. Each draft changes how your rite fights. Losing costs Essence, but it does not end the run. Dawn always brings another decision.

WEIGH THE COST AT DAWN

Every night ends at the scale. The cursed pan offers greater rewards while raising Corruption. The blessed pan pays less but helps cleanse the shrine. Corruption does not hide behind a number. It changes the pilgrims and spreads across the grounds, leaving the shrine visibly marked by the bargains you make.
