After dying while saving a stranger, nineteen-year-old Jake awakens on the unfamiliar continent of Valeska. War has scattered its people, destroyed entire communities and placed the roads ahead under the control of the Demon Lord’s armies.

Jake has no legendary power waiting for him. Every advantage must be earned through the cards you draft, the weapon you carry and the decisions you make between battles.

Draft From 90 Cards

Build Jake using 90 different cards divided between nine affinities:

Attack, Defense, Fire, Healing, Ice, Lightning, Poison, Toughness and Wind.

Combine physical techniques, elemental attacks, protective abilities and survival effects. Strengthen cards through repeated drafts and adapt your build to increasingly dangerous enemies.

Every decision contributes to the fighter Jake becomes.

Choose Your Weapon

Jake’s equipped weapon changes how he fights.

Use swords, axes, spears, daggers, bows, crossbows and other weapons, each with its own attack style, speed, range and strengths. Visit the village forge between expeditions to purchase new equipment and prepare for the battles ahead.

A powerful card build still needs the right weapon to bring it together.

Watch Your Choices Fight

Combat unfolds automatically, but victory is determined by your preparation.

Your drafted cards activate during battle while Jake attacks according to his weapon and combat behaviour. Adjust your equipment and affinities to overcome enemy formations, ranged units, elite soldiers, powerful generals and expedition bosses.

You create the build. Jake puts it to the test.

Restore a Place Worth Defending

Rescue five companions during the campaign and bring them back to a ruined frontier village.

Each companion unlocks a valuable service, including weapons, healing, research, scouting and tactical preparation. As the campaign progresses, the recovering village becomes Jake’s home and the centre of a growing resistance.

Your victories change more than the battlefield.

Fight Across Valeska

Travel through sixteen handcrafted story expeditions across forests, farmlands, villages, mountain roads, military outposts and fortified cities.

Confront the Demon Lord’s armies, defeat the generals commanding them and uncover why Jake’s arrival in this world may not have been an isolated event.
