About
SCP: KOS is a round-based, top-down 2D multiplayer game set in a Foundation containment site where a massive containment failure has occurred. Every round the map is randomly generated and you're assigned a role: Foundation personnel, Chaos Insurgency, or a sentient SCP anomaly, each with different goals. Loot the facility, upgrade your keycard, fight the other alive factions, and either detonate or defend the on-site nuclear warhead before the round ends.
Games are fast, chaotic, and different every time. When a round ends, the map rebuilds and roles are reshuffled.
Art style mixing: Some static map elements like walls/ground are not 8-bit while dynamic/movable things like characters & items are. This contrast helps create some distinction between the two.
Play as one of three factions
- Foundation personnel - Scavenge for loot, upgrade your keycard to reach locked areas, and neutralize (or run from) any threat you come across.
- Chaos Insurgency - Enter the facility from the surface using elevator-A to sabotage the site and hunt Foundation staff.
- SCP anomalies - Play a sentient SCP with unique abilities. Break containment, wipe out the humans, and stop the warhead from going off.
What's in the game right now
- Randomly generated zones - no two facility zones share a layout.
- Four connected zones - Light Containment, Heavy Containment, Entrance, and a Surface zone - plus special areas to discover.
- Interactive facility rooms - including SCP-914 (the upgrade machine), armories, elevators, and more.
- Tiered keycards & loot - find better cards to unlock deeper areas and better gear.
- Multiple human and SCP roles, each playing differently.
- Dynamic round events - a rotating set of events (containment hazards, anomalous encounters, and more) that shake up each match.
- The on-site nuclear warhead - activating this destroys a large part of the facility and irradiates the surface. escape when it gets close to going off!
- Tesla gates, corpses, an inventory system, and a fog-of-war minimap.
