About the Game

🎴 MATCH THE FLOWERS. BUILD YOUR YAKU. KNOW WHEN TO STOP.

Hanafuda brings Koi-Koi🐟, the classic two-player Japanese card game to an elegant, tactile 3D tabletop. Take your time against the computer or test your skills and luck against another player online.

A traditional Hanafuda deck contains 48 cards, representing the twelve months of the year through flowers🌸, animals🦌, ribbons🎀, and seasonal scenes🌕. Play a card from your hand to match a month on the table, capture the pair, then reveal a card from the deck and watch the possibilities change again.

Collect Brights, Animals, Ribbons, and Chaff to form Yaku: scoring combinations ranging from dependable foundations to celebrated hands such as Boar-Deer-Butterflies and the Five Brights.

🎴 THE DECISION AT THE HEART OF KOI-KOI

Completing a Yaku presents you with a choice.

Stop and secure your score, or call “Koi-Koi”🐟 and continue playing in pursuit of a greater reward by multiplying your score.

Press your advantage too far, however, and your opponent may complete a Yaku first and turn the round against you. Every captured card changes what remains possible, making timing, observation, probability, and nerve just as important as the cards you draw.

🎴 A CLASSIC GAME, CLEARLY PRESENTED

• Follow the state of every round through at-a-glance card information, organized capture areas, and clear Yaku and scoring feedback.

• Enjoy all 48 seasonal cards as tactile 3D pieces, brought to life with smooth dealing, matching, and capture animations.

• Play solo against the computer or compete in online head-to-head matches.

• Choose a 3-round short game, 6-round half year, or 12-round full year match.

• Learn through a presentation designed to make months, card categories, matching opportunities, and potential Yaku easy to understand.

🎴 BEAUTIFUL, CALM, AND QUIETLY COMPETITIVE

Hanafuda may appear serene, but every round becomes a contest of calculated risk. Build combinations, read your opponent’s captures, and decide whether one more turn is worth everything already gained.

*Will you take your points, or call Koi-Koi🐟?*
