About
The house is dark. Your flashlight is dying.
Something laughs in the ballroom beneath Grisewood Manor. You have a pistol, a failing flashlight, and however many rooms you can survive on the way down.
THE HOUSE ON GRISEWOOD is a top-down gothic horror shooter about limited light and limited resources. Every room is black until you sweep it. Walls swallow your beam, corners hide what's waiting, and the battery counting down in your hand is the only reason you can see at all.
Light is a resource
Your flashlight carves a narrow cone through the dark, and it does not last forever. Switch it off to save power and the manor closes in around you. Leave it on and you will be blind when it matters. Batteries are scavenged, never guaranteed.
Every shot is a decision
Six rounds in the revolver and a slow reload. A shotgun if you find one, and shells if you're lucky. Ammunition is scarce enough that running is often smarter than fighting — and knowing which is which is the difference between life and death.
The things in the dark are not all the same
Shamblers press forward without stopping. Grinners lunge from beyond your light. Weepers freeze in your beam and move the instant it leaves them. Something tall breathes in rooms you haven't reached yet. Learn what each one does, or learn the hard way.
Descend
Nineteen rooms of a rotting manor — library, chapel, conservatory, crypt — connected in ways that don't always make sense. Find your way down to the ballroom and end what's laughing there.
ZOMBIE SURVIVAL MODE
Sealed inside the Grand Hall with the doors boarded shut. Waves arrive out of the black and never stop coming. Scavenge rounds, batteries and bandages from supply caches scattered across the floor — which means leaving the corner you're hiding in. Survive as long as you can, then go again.
