Artifacts provide build-defining effects that change how you pass cards, create voids, generate Power, protect Composure, and interact with penalty cards.

Some strengthen passed cards, reward specialized Tactics, improve enhanced cards, or amplify the Queen of Spades. Others enable unusual combinations that can completely reshape your strategy.

Earn Profile XP through Solo Runs and multiplayer matches. Increase your Profile Level, open gameplay-earned Artifact Packs, and permanently unlock new Artifacts for future runs.

Artifact Packs are earned through play and provide no paid competitive advantage.

Masquerade Trials: Planned for Version 1.0

The Masquerade Trials story campaign is planned for version 1.0 and is not included in the initial Early Access release.

The full campaign will combine Hearts with a Victorian gothic mystery involving masked witnesses, evidence, testimony, supernatural rule changes, and courtroom deduction.

Use Trial Effects to uncover hidden details, preserve evidence, challenge suspicious testimony, and strengthen your case against each witness.

Early Access focuses on the complete Hearts roguelite, progression, AI, multiplayer, and private co-op modes described above.
