About

The valley does not wait for you. Primal Idle is an idle RPG of prehistoric survival. Thirteen interlocking skills, 57 tameable species, and ten biomes each sealed behind an apex guardian. You start with a handful of berries and a sharp rock. You end with a tribe at your back, a stable full of tamed giants, and the Sundered One finally beaten.

And it keeps playing while you don't. Close it, sleep, go to work every skill runs on, and you come back to a full bank, finished smelts, grown crops and expeditions that returned without you.

Foraging, Logging, Mining, Fishing, Cooking, Crafting, Smithing, Alchemy, Hunting, Taming, Expeditions, Delving and Farming ..412 actions between them, and almost nothing is a dead end. Ore becomes ingots become the spear that finally wins the hunt you kept losing. Berries become the tonic that keeps a Raptor calm long enough to tame. Every skill you level makes

57 species, from a Compsognathus you could stand on to a Giganotosaurus that could stand on you. Wear one down, feed it what it actually wants, and it joins your stable. Then breed it. Imprint the hatchlings for permanent stat bonuses, kit them out with 25 pieces of dino gear, and send them out to work while you do something else. Thirteen pets tag along for the ride.

The Grasslands are forgiving. The Redwood Wilds are not, and the Cavern Depths are actively hostile. Each biome is sealed behind an apex guardian. The Thunderfoot Matriarch, the Hollow King, the Tide Leviathan, Frostmaw and every one of them is a genuine wall you have to build past rather than grind through. Beyond the last of them lie the Sundered Vale and three rift zones that do not follow the valley's rules.

Raise 16 structures, push your camp through four tiers and six material ages, and staff it with hired hands who work while you're away. Fifteen rival tribes share the valley and have their own opinions about that. Take contracts, run dispatch missions, dig up 10 sites and fill 10 museum wings, and follow a four-act story from Act I — Roots to Act IV — War in the Vale.

Idle games live or die on what happens while you're gone, so offline progress here is the same code that runs live play not an estimate, not a summary screen. Eighteen hours banked by default, and more once you invest in it. Cloud saves carry the same valley between your machines, so the run you left on your desktop is the run you pick up anywhere else.
