A single player adjacency and domino-based puzzle game, where you build ringworlds. Unlock infrastructure and shape its society based on your choice of commercial partners all in order to reach the highest real estate value. Try different builds and try to get the highest score in the universe!
About
Build ringworlds
You are a ringworld architect, and an expert engineer trusted by the Imperium with the colossal task to build megastructures across the galaxy in order to expand humanity's reach. Planets are rarely habitable but very often profitable, that's where ringworlds comes in, to anchor our exploitation endeavours on an controlled environnement before colonizing the nearby stellar systems.
The game will release with 3 ringworlds with different mechanics : the Middle-Class Suburbs, the High Security Prison, and the Space Whale Pit Stop.
A demo will be published, which will consist of the full Middle-Class Suburbs ringworld building experience.
Themes
You can expect to see a lot of beloved science fiction tropes at planetary scales from a lot of different ideologies, such as : human processors, cloning facilities, soylent green, ... or wildlife sanctuaries, gravity sports and freshly baked bread for everyone.
Topology Dominos
In order to save ressources, most of the ringworlds are pre-fabricated. You have to plan ahead and around the logistics rules of the dominos : you can only place them next to a similar domino.
You come in to shape the topology : draw bays, island, lake and more on the suburban ringworld, all depending on how you place the dominos.
Gigantic Infrastructure
You start with a couple of region-spanning infrastructure to place on the ringworld. Placing infrastructure at the right place will greatly increase the real estate value of the world. However, space is not infinite on an artifical world, so you better plan ahead.
Shaping Society
Not only will you shape the terrain, but you will shape the future society growing here. Sign contracts with a selection of industrial partners to gain access to new infrastructure or upgrade the one you already have. All our partners ask in exchange is having influence on the colons, which means the local culture will be greatly shaped by the type of partners you have chosen. Replay the ring in order to find the most profitable combination of partners or try to catch all the different culture archetypes available !
Leader board
Don't gloss over your status too much, a lot of other have been chosen because well, there's a lot of space to cover. Compare your high score with your friends or the world, and look at their builds too !
