About

FLOPPY SURVIVORS is a bullet-heaven action roguelite starring a tiny disk that only wants to survive—and has no idea why the network wants it erased. Grow auto-firing antivirus programs, finish recovery jobs inside a storm of malware, and fuse pairs into DUAL weapons.

Delete the first boss and a missing signal returns. Someone hid this little disk for a reason, and now the network wants DISK #47 erased. What is it carrying?

Deleting malware keeps you alive; field work completes the boot. Stabilize damaged sectors, close numbered ports, recover scattered memory pages, and seal quarantine nodes. Each completed job grants an immediate upgrade and a run-long bonus while visibly restoring the battlefield. Delete all 10 bosses, then hold the FINAL DEFRAG core through the last 60 seconds.

Raise two different programs to Lv5 and fuse them into a DUAL. With only five active slots, every build has a tradeoff: which programs deserve Lv5, and when should a fusion free a slot? You can see the ingredients, but the name and effect stay hidden until you craft it. Each first discovery is saved permanently in DUAL.DAT.

Deleting a boss cracks open its cache. Choose 1 of 3 POWER DRIVERs, then take two skill upgrades on the spot. Push damage into overdrive, speed up recovery, or reshape movement and blink timing. The first time you beat each boss across Easy, Normal, and Hard, another of 30 INTERCEPT signals returns. The same win makes the current build stronger and restores another piece of the story.

Levels and equipment reset when a boot ends. First discoveries stay: 12 system files, 36 DUAL records, and 4 restored sectors remain in RECOVERY.DIR. Every two records add max HP to future boots, while six boot disks and new operations unlock new starting builds.

FOLLOW THE SIGNAL

Only Easy is available at first. Finish each act to unlock the next threat level and its next ten signals while the little floppy advances across the operation map. Recover all 52 archive records and all 30 signals to verify MASTER.IMG and reveal LAST BOOT. The ending is not a paragraph in a menu. It is one last boot you execute yourself.

ENDLESS ENDS ON YOUR TERMS

Continue straight into ENDLESS after Main Recovery. ENDLESS.LOG auto-saves extension time, deletions, and recovered data every 30 seconds. When you are ready to stop, retire safely from the pause menu and review WRITE VERIFIED plus your personal bests on the result screen.

THE WHOLE GAME FITS ON A FLOPPY

The shipping Windows executable—including the complete game and all 15 code-synth tracks—is smaller than the capacity of one 1.44 MB floppy. Visuals, effects, and music are generated at runtime from code and compact data tables instead of large media files.
