About

Lo-Fi with Ruka is a rainy-night study room—and a 25-minute study session under the watch of a quietly unhinged supervisor.

Sit down, write out this session's goal, and press start. From that moment, the computer belongs to Ruka: you study, she watches. Every mouse move, keypress, alt-tab, mute, or system-clock change is seen. Her suspicion rises, and her mood slides from gentle watching to suspicion, to calling you out, to warning—then to blackening.

Hold still for the full 25 minutes and she will smile when time runs out. Let her suspicion peak and you are processed—then you wake up again, reborn. Ruka remembers every loop and every escape. She is the duty monitor of this room, and the rules are hers.

The 25-minute session

  • One rule: hands off the computer
  • Fully local behavior detection: mouse, keyboard, focus loss, mute, clock changes, and window closes all count
  • Blackening state machine: watching → suspicious → calling out → warning → blackened → processed
  • Processed and reborn: Ruka remembers your loop count and escape history, and greets each rebirth differently
  • A leave ritual: asking permission to step away is itself recorded against you

Focus and music

  • Built-in lo-fi music with non-repeating shuffle
  • Local MP3, OGG, and WAV music import
  • Playlists, favorites, previous-track control, fades, and normalized loudness
  • Focus calendar and long-term progress
  • Immersive mode and fullscreen controls

Quiet Steam companionship

When Steam is available, you can see friends who are focusing, exchange preset notes, and invite up to eight participants into a friends-only group for a synchronized 25-minute session. There is no real-time chat.

Native support is included for Windows 64-bit, Intel Mac, and Apple silicon Mac.
