About

Four nations are already at war when you arrive. Crownbane is an asynchronous MMO war game: you rule one city, the server simulates the shared front, and every army you commit shifts a line that thousands of other rulers are pushing back.

You cannot win this war alone, and the game never pretends otherwise. What you can do is arrive at war-day with a deeper city, a harder army and better timing than the ruler standing opposite you — and let the tally do the rest.

Your city is the whole engine. Harvest, build, and drive four- and five-tier chains into masteries that change how your whole realm behaves — Forge Lords, Coin-Masters, Wardens of Plenty, Merchant Princes.

Underneath the walls sits a working economy. The Market buys and sells, the Bank compounds income, the Tavern sells sellswords by the hour and the Inn rotates wandering heroes through town. Specialise early and you get a realm-wide bonus; specialise wrong and you find out on the front.

Troops persist between battles. Eighteen unit types across five battle roles, and the ones that walk off a front carry their veterancy into the next one — so an army is something you grow, not something you rebuild every week.

That is also the pressure. Refielding costs real resources and real time, so committing your veterans deep into a contested front is a decision with weight. Send everything and you can break a line. Send everything and lose, and you spend the next war rebuilding while someone else takes ground.

Fronts are scheduled. You pledge troops and supply to a battle before war-day locks, then the server resolves it turn by turn and hands you back a full battle log — what hit what, where the line bent, and exactly how much of the result was yours.

No twitch, no queue, no waiting on someone else's turn. Read the board, commit, come back to the aftermath.

Every week one nation seizes the Crown — a realm-wide war buff, and a bounty on their back for the following week. Ember Pact, Tide Covenant, Verdant Coil and Sunspear Dominion each field their own 20 heroes, their own war cries and their own reason to hate the other three.

Recruit from 80 heroes, kit out a champion, join a nation clan, and keep the front moving. Free to play, in your browser or on your desktop, same account either way.
