Description

Escape Sequence is a synthwave highway racer where the traffic is a song and the wild drivers play it with you. Weave an ocean-side freeway at sunset, chain near-misses, outlive AI rivals who drive like you do — solo, LAN, or online with friends and public lobbies. Everything glows.

About

The freeway runs along the ocean, the sun refuses to set, and somewhere in
your mirror there's a driver who plays the game the way you do.

Escape Sequence is an endless synthwave driver in the spirit of the arcade
classics — curves that lean, hills that breathe, traffic that flows like sheet
music — rebuilt around one idea: the road is a score, and everyone plays
the same one.

WILD DRIVERS — RIVALS WHO ARE ALIVE

  • AI drivers hunt you from behind, weave the same traffic, fight the same
storms and the same centrifugal pull — and sometimes lose, spectacularly.
  • Brush past a rival for bonus flow; outlast them and take their legend.

THE NEAR-MISS IS THE MELODY

  • Graze traffic to build near-miss chains: ×2, ×3… ×8 — flow is score and
    score is currency.
  • Slipstream behind civilians for a burst of speed. Ride the oncoming lanes
if you dare — the pay is better on the wrong side of the road.

A ROAD WRITTEN BY A SEED

  • Every run's highway grows from one number: same seed, same traffic, same
weather fronts, same curves — frame by frame, on every machine.
  • Day turns to night, rain turns to storm, and the coast forks into desert
and neon city. Your lane at the gantry chooses the world ahead.
  • Three highway profiles: a lonely 1+1 coastal road, a 2+2 expressway, the
full 3+3 boulevard — pick one or let the seed roll.

MULTIPLAYER WITHOUT EXCUSES

  • Steam invites — host, open the overlay, race a friend through
Valve's relay. No IPs, no port forwarding.
  • Public games — host a public lobby or browse the list and jump in.
  • Score Duel, Last Sequence, Knockout — everyone drives the same
seed; ghosts can't hurt you (optional bump mode if the lobby votes danger).
  • Honest LAN for the same couch, same switch, same night.

SOLO DISCIPLINES

  • Endless — the wall comes for everyone; the leaderboard remembers.
  • Checkpoint Run — the clock is the enemy. Time Attack — two
minutes, every near-miss buys another second. Cruise — no stakes,
    just the ocean.

EVERYTHING FROM CODE

Every car, palm and thunderhead is built from code; every sound is synthesized
in-engine over an original synthwave soundtrack. A garage of six machines with
one law: identical hitbox — buying speed never buys safety. CRT filters
included, for those who remember.

Keyboard or gamepad. Solo, LAN, and online for up to 4 pilots.
