About
YOUR BODY IS YOUR DECK. BITE IT.
Every piece of food you eat becomes a working part of your body. A Fang Turret shoots.
A Venom Gland trails poison. A Blast Sac smoulders.
And when you deliberately steer your head into your own body, that part detonates.
That is the whole game. Growing makes you stronger and harder to steer. Biting
makes you weaker and gets you out of trouble. Every second you are deciding which of
those you need more.
LENGTH IS THE PROBLEM AND THE SOLUTION
- Fourteen body parts, each with a passive that runs constantly and a detonate that fires once. Stack Storm Batteries next to turrets. Put an Echo Scale between two bombs. Find out what a Glut Sac does to its neighbours.
- Your body is a wall — to your enemies, and to you. Coil around a boss to pen it in
and you have penned yourself in too. Chewing back out costs you time you may not have.
- Two ways to detonate. Bite a part you choose, where you choose, and stand still
for it. Or drop your tail as a live charge, walk away, and set it off when something
is standing on it.
FIFTEEN WAVES, THREE BOSSES, ONE RUN
- A run is about fifteen minutes. Death ends it. There is no mid-run save.
- Five enemy types that each break a different habit. Spitters punish turtling. Tanks
chew through your body — the only thing in the game that can.
- The Shepherd kites and summons. The Collector ignores you and eats your food
to heal. The World Serpent is a rival snake with its own body, its own tail, and
the habit of biting it.
- Between waves, draft one of three new parts — and choose where on your body it goes.
ENDLESS
Then do it forever. Endless mode keeps generating waves past the fifteenth, with the
bosses coming back around and the pressure compounding until something kills you. Your
deepest runs are kept.
