About
The souls within you are your vital essence. But which ones are you willing to sacrifice to face your destiny?
Raise, Rise & Die is a dark fantasy deckbuilder where your cards are also your life. Play as one of four humans brought back to life, choose your weapons, and fight with the souls you have absorbed.
BUY ONCE. UNLOCK CONTENT BY PLAYING.
Unlockable skins, three game modes, and a built-in level editor: Raise, Rise & Die embraces an old-school philosophy.
No DLC, gacha, or microtransactions. Content and cosmetics are unlocked through gameplay, with no additional purchases.
The game will launch in Early Access and continue to evolve throughout development.
ARENA — LEARN TO ASSESS THE DANGER
Fight your way through solo encounters against monsters with automated decks. Choose your next opponent from three options, earn cards, and develop your deck throughout the run.
At rest, every reward brings a new dilemma: keep a card for what it adds to your strategy, or sacrifice it to recover HP. A card you give up today might be sorely missed a few fights later.
Your deck size determines your maximum health. But survival is about more than collecting cards: you need to build a deck that works together, choose your battles, and know when to take a risk.
Find powerful synergies, push your score higher, and compete on the leaderboard. The run ends when you fall.
ONE CARD, MANY POSSIBILITIES
A single Soul Value serves three purposes: a card’s cost, the Reserve it generates when sacrificed from your hand, and the HP you lose when it falls as your Top Soul.
The Top Soul is the face-up card on top of your deck during combat. When damage causes it to fall, you lose HP equal to its Soul Value. Excess damage can reach the cards beneath it, triggering a cascade.
You can see both your Top Soul and your opponent’s. That information shapes how you attack, defend, and prepare your next move.
Sacrifice cards from your hand to build your Reserve, then spend it to play the others. Keep an option open or fund your attack: the choice is yours.
And your opponent can respond. Blocks, counters, and retaliations can turn an exchange you thought you had under control.
ANCIENTS’ PATH — LEVEL EDITOR
Become an Ancient and forge your own path.
Choose the opponents, rules, and starting deck. Customize monsters and cards, down to their stats, effects, and appearance. Combine the game’s building blocks to create a challenge of your own.
But before sharing it with other players, you must complete a validation run yourself. Then seal your path: your score becomes the benchmark to beat.
Discover other players’ paths, take on their challenges, and compare your results on each path’s dedicated leaderboard.
The editor is included in the game. No additional purchase required.

PHYSICAL CARDS BEFORE THE VIDEO GAME
The combat rules were designed and playtested with physical cards for two and a half years before being adapted into a video game.
Developed solo, Raise, Rise & Die stays true to its tabletop roots: cards with multiple uses, decisions that commit your resources, and an opponent who can respond to your moves.
The engine handles the calculations and resolves the effects. The decisions remain yours.
Solo developed, in dark pixel art finished by hand. The art is AI-generated as a starting point, then reworked and integrated by hand.
