About

Forged Cards is a roguelike deckbuilder where you don't collect cards, you make them. Take up the hammer of a journeyman smith, gather ingots and recipes, and forge cards in your deck by hand: choose its effects, temper its power, and inscribe it with conditions that turn simple strikes into engines.

Forged Cards is currently in beta

The game is content-complete and fully playable from start to finish, but we're keeping it in beta while we conduct thorough testing. Expect occasional bugs and balance changes. Your feedback directly shapes the 1.0 release.

Forge Your Own Cards

Every card starts as a mold with open slots. Slot in Casts (what it does), set its Temper (how hard it hits) and Duration (how long it lasts), then etch Inscriptions that generate and spend Flux for bonus payoffs. Found a recipe for Burn? Pair it with Damage for a unique effect.

King of the Hill Mode

Each day, players attempt the same run. The final fight is against the ghost of the player before you (their deck, their items). Beat this ghost and you are the now the King of the Hill. Your build now defends the summit, and if it's strong enough it may hold against the challengers climbing behind you. If your reign lasts the longest during the day, you will be crowned the champion.

Co-Op (2 to 4 players)

Team up with your closet friends and journey together through the world of Forged Cards. Discover synergies that only exist when there's more than one smith on the field. Plan out your assault as a team for maximum carnage. Gather items and inscriptions found only in co-op. But beware, there are new enemies that show up only when there's a party to crash.

Outsmart, Don't Outdraw

Combat is simultaneous. You see the enemy's hand — but not the order they'll play it. Arrange your three cards into positions, lock in, and watch both sides resolve in lockstep. A well-placed Block blanks their opening blow; a Vulnerable at position one supercharges everything after it. Sequencing is key.
