About

🔷 When the Enemy Changes, So Does the Path to Victory

Throne of Trials is a turn-based boss-rush RPG where you take on powerful bosses by rebuilding your party, equipment, skills, and tactics for each battle.

Study the enemy, assemble a party of four, and adapt to its mechanics and actions during battle using Hate, Break, Intercept, and other tactical tools. Claim equipment and passive skills from your victories, update your builds, and take on increasingly difficult trials.

“Challenge → Victory or Defeat → Loot → Build Update → Challenge Again”

This cycle is at the heart of the game.

This is not a game where one powerful party can overwhelm every enemy. Find a different solution for each boss and build your own path to victory.

🔷 Build a Four-Person Party to Counter Each Enemy

Every boss has its own unique traits and mechanics.

  • Bosses where tanking and Hate management are essential
  • Bosses that demand Accuracy or Break
  • Bosses that require you to switch elements or attack types
  • Bosses fought while managing an enemy-specific gauge
  • Bosses that impose forbidden actions and unleash powerful counterattacks when you violate them
  • Bosses that record the damage you deal or the healing you perform, then strike back

Choose four characters from a roster of 15 and combine the following tools to counter each boss’s mechanics:

  • 5 active skills
  • 4 passive skills (with additional slots unlocked as you progress)
  • Counter skills
  • Weapons, armor, and accessories
  • Overdrive

Convenient Auto-Equip and party presets are also available.

You can direct every battle manually, or let AUTO handle the fight and take control only during important moments. Play the way that suits you and focus on solving each boss encounter.

🔷 Read Enemy Actions and Control the Battle

Victory is determined by more than just your stats.

Manipulate Hate to direct attacks toward your tank. Use Break to stop enemy actions and interrupt dangerous casts. Predict the enemy’s next action and use Intercept Order to act before it does.

When Intercept succeeds, bonus damage and Break effectiveness are increased. Even if your prediction is wrong, you gain Overdrive Gauge and can prepare for your next opportunity.

Study the enemy’s actions and prepare your next move in advance. This is just one of many ways to achieve victory.

🔷 Loot Creates Your Next Strategy

Defeat bosses to obtain equipment with random effects and powerful passive skills.

Loot is more than a simple increase to your stats:

  • Critical-focused builds
  • High-damage builds that sacrifice HP
  • Break-focused builds
  • Evasion and counter-focused builds
  • Tank builds combining durability and Hate management

When your equipment changes, the role and playstyle of the same character can change as well.

Dismantle unwanted equipment to convert it into Aether, then use it to enhance abilities and craft equipment.

🔷 The Further You Progress, the More Your Build Options Expand

The early trials teach you the fundamentals of battle and how to respond to mechanics such as Hate, Break, enemy telegraphs, and forbidden actions.

Once you reach the higher-difficulty ★4 trials, the possibilities for combining random equipment effects, passive skills, elements, and counters expand dramatically.

As you progress into the endgame, equipment awakening also becomes available.

“An enemy I couldn’t defeat last time falls after I change my party and equipment.”

Keep building on those breakthroughs as you advance toward more difficult trials.

🔷 From Regular Trials to Oracle Level 50 and EX Trials

After clearing the regular trials, you can challenge the endgame mode, Trial of the Oracle.

First, progress through Trial of the Oracle to Level 10. From there, deeper difficulty levels based on the mechanics introduced at Level 10 become available, eventually extending all the way to Level 50.

  • Clear all of Trial of the Oracle Level 10 to unlock Starspire Observatory EX.
  • Clear Starspire Observatory EX and reach Level 30 in Trial of the Oracle to unlock the highest difficulty: Sanctum of Duality EX.

EX Trials await with strengthened bosses, exclusive mechanics, tactical decisions that differ from the regular versions, and EX-exclusive rewards.

Use everything you have learned and every build you have developed to reach the deepest trials.
