Legacy Of The Depths

Legacy of the Depths is a 2D adventure with RPG elements, dialogue, exploration, detective storytelling, and moral choices. The game is set in an alternate Russia of 1929, where the monarchy survived and the country still carries the scars of a failed revolution.

You play as Alexey, a scientist and the grandson of Alexander Melnikov — the only survivor of a mysterious expedition to the Barents Sea. After his grandfather dies in a psychiatric hospital, Alexey receives a strange letter that pulls him into a story his family tried to bury.

Travel through remote villages, abandoned places, and forgotten corners of the Russian North. Speak with people who hide more than they reveal, investigate strange events, search for fragments of lost coordinates, and follow the trail of an expedition that should never have returned.

The game is inspired by Northern Noir, Russian Gothic, and classic literature. It is a slow-burning story about grief, legacy, obsession, and the things buried beneath the ice.
