Survive and settle in a wild mountain land. Hunt, fish, farm and cook. Build a home piece by piece as the seasons turn. Wild herds and predators live on their own. No bosses, no ending.
Wildreach is a single-player survival and building game set in a wide mountain wilderness. Deer, horses, sheep and cattle graze and roam. Wolves hunt them. Animals are born and die whether you are watching or not. There are no bosses and there is no ending. You explore, you settle, and you make a life.
Make a spear from what you find on the ground and go hunting. Skin what you take for meat, hide and bone. Use the meat before it spoils, because an animal left in the open rots away. Fish with a rod, a spear or a trap. Most predators leave you alone, but a starving or wounded one may turn on you.
The seasons change the land. Leaves fall, snow comes and lakes freeze. Rain, fog and storms pass through, and the night sky has two moons. Grow more than forty kinds of crops. Give them space and plant good neighbours together: corn and beans grow better side by side. Cook and can your food, and rest to keep your strength up.
Snap pieces together or place them freely. Move, turn and resize what you build. Start with simple timber plans. Take apart the things you find to get the pieces back and learn how to build them yourself. Many objects in the world can be picked up, searched or taken apart. Ride horses, row boats, and keep hens, goats and pigs at home.
A quest journal shows a path if you want one, or you can ignore it. Save at any time, and the game also saves on its own. Wildreach is still in development, so it will grow and change. If you find a mistake on this page or in a translation, please email mark@pickbits.ai.
