About

Running Late is a fast-paced platformer that puts you in the shoes of Ayumi, a Japanese high-schooler without a care in the world. However, one day Ayumi finds herself cursed by a yokai, and now must arrive to school on time every day until the curse is broken. Blessed with superpowers by the thunder god Raitaro, Ayumi must race against the clock to reach school on time, doing tricks and dodging obstacles along the way!

THE YOKAI'S CURSE

Ayumi is irresponsible and immature, habitually getting late to school. After being cursed by a Kitsune, Ayumi finds herself in a nightmare scenario: Her home town's layout is shuffled around every morning, must arrive to school on time each day, or else the yokai will steal her soul! Thankfully, Ayumi is blessed by the thunder god Raitaro with awesome powers, letting her climb up walls, survive great impacts, and come out of falling from heights unscathed. Ayumi must find her way to school in record time each and every day if she hopes to break the Kitsune's curse!

INFINITE REPLAYABILITY

Rush through an infinite collection of levels, climbing buildings, picking up power-ups, and taking every opportunity to go faster. But be careful! Oncoming traffic, animals, and more will get in your way and knock you back on impact. Skillfully dodge obstacles and go for a record clear time!

HAND-DRAWN ANIME VISUALS

Every visual in Running Late was hand-crafted in-house, going for an anime look. Original music accompanies those illustrations to bring a home-made world to life.
