About

In the final days of the old era, humanity built the Lingshu Network, linking ley lines, cities, cultivators, and industrial facilities into one planet-spanning spiritual-energy system.

Then came the Skybreach.

Spiritual tides swept across the world. Wildlife mutated, memories became contaminated, and space itself began to twist beyond the surviving cities. Artificial Lingshu cores now keep shields, water systems, and heating alive—but every act of cultivation, spellcasting, and production creates more Calamity Matter, the corruption slowly consuming civilization.

After the disaster, you are appointed mayor and entrusted with the Masterless Lingshu Key: a rare authority capable of reading and rewriting the network's deepest protocols. It cannot erase a cost. It can only decide how that cost is distributed. Being mayor is not an honor—it means your name goes on every decision made during a crisis.

As resources vanish and disasters close in, every decision becomes political. Do you divert spiritual energy to the city shield, or invest it in a powerful cultivator who might turn the next battle? Do you spend precious Purity Matter on refugees, or preserve the survival quota of those already inside? Do you accept the protection of the Sect Alliance, the allocation system of the Commune, or the loans of the Contract City—or risk creating rules of your own?

Here, ascending to a higher realm is more than personal progression. It is a public expense paid by an entire community. You may win a battle, save a city, or rewrite an institution, but every victory must eventually be settled.

#### Cultivation With a Public Cost

Advance from sensing spiritual currents to binding your existence with cities and ley lines. Every realm unlocks new abilities for combat, exploration, production, and disaster control while increasing energy demand, purification costs, and the risk of catastrophic failure. A powerful cultivator can become a city's greatest protector—or the final burden that destroys it.

#### Manage a Living Cultivation City

Balance population capacity, network pressure, corruption, and public trust. Allocate energy, purification resources, access rights, and labor across shields, clean water, industry, medicine, and cultivation. Under scarcity, every efficient solution creates consequences for someone else.

#### Three Systems, Three Answers to Survival

- **Sect Alliance — Stability through inheritance.** Preserve low-corruption techniques and elite guardians, while bloodlines and lineages decide who may access power.

- **Commune — Survival through contribution.** Sustain civilization through standardized production and collective formations, while human worth risks becoming a number in an allocation system.

- **Contract City — Opportunity through debt.** Accelerate technology, equipment, and forbidden-zone expeditions by turning lifespan, memory, and even personal autonomy into collateral.

The three systems compete, exploit, trade with, and depend on one another. Your alliances, routes, and policies will determine what kind of order emerges after the apocalypse.

#### Explore Ever-Worsening Exclusion Zones

Lead expeditions into spiritual-tide ruins, failed network nodes, and spatial fractures in search of rare materials, Purity Matter, and lost technology. Greater risks bring greater rewards—but also more corruption, casualties, and stronger disasters in the cycles ahead.

#### Rewrite Rules, Not Reality

Use the Masterless Lingshu Key to alter node protocols, access permissions, and systems of distribution. You may only rewrite rules you truly understand, and no protocol can violate conservation. If people refuse to accept or enforce your new system, even the most elegant solution will collapse overnight.

#### Every Victory Leaves a Scar

Defending a city may push its core toward overload. Saving refugees may break the existing ration system. Freeing citizens from soul-bound debt may collapse an entire city's economy. Your decisions reshape resources, population, faction relationships, and the environment—and become the starting point of the next crisis.

#### Rebuild Civilization, Not Just the World

Travel through a sect frontier, a vast commune metropolis, a contract-driven port, and the heart of the old network to uncover the truth behind the Skybreach. In the end, the question is not who should rule, but who has the right to write the rules, who may leave them, and how the cost of power can be made visible to all.

- Every ascension is a public expense.

- You can rewrite the rules. You cannot erase the cost.

- Saving a city is easy. Deciding who pays for it is not.

- Explore. Produce. Ascend. Corrupt. Your prosperity is creating the next disaster.
