About
History, distilled.
Annhexation is a historical turn-based hex 4X built on a single principle: every system should fit in your head. Complexity comes from how rules interact on the map, not from twelve menus and a rulebook you can use as a door stop. Eight civilisations. Three victory paths. 300 turns. One evening.
What you get
- Eight leaders, eight styles - Caesar's roads and legions. Genghis Khan's cavalry. Elizabeth's navy. Cleopatra's monuments. Each civilisation plays differently from turn one.
- Three ways to win — Domination (take every capital), Science (build a space ship and leave), or Score (the highest civilisation when the clock runs out).
- Tight, deterministic combat — Terrain matters. Unit selection matters. The same inputs always produce the same outputs. No save-scumming the dice.
- Grow your empire - Build wonders, hold ground, and watch neighbouring tiles defect. Soft power that bites.
- 2-4 hour games - Designed to be finished, not abandoned at turn 200 because the kids need feeding.
- Single and Multiplayer - Play against up to 7 AI empires, each with their own flavour, or crush your friends in multiplayer.
- The game is DLC free - No adding systems that should have been included from the start as paid DLC, any and all additions and updates will be to the core game.
For people who
- Loved Civ II and Master of Orion and have noticed the genre get fatter, not better.
- Want a strategy game that respects your time.
- Don't want to spend 8 weeks learning the rules.
