About

Numbers Go Up is a Roguelike Deckbuilder played on a 2048 grid. Slide, merge, score - then rebuild the rules between rounds until one move breaks the game.

Slide. Merge. Score.

Every slide moves the whole board. Merges score Chips, mods add Mult, and the more merges you catch in one move, the harder the counter jumps. Beat the score target before your moves run out. Miss it and the run is over.

Hit the bazaar & Enhance your Run

Between gates you cash out and shop the black-market bazaar. Mods are illegal programs to run inside your terminal. They rewrite how scoring works. Enhanced tiles change how the pieces themselves behave: they charge, magnetize, go volatile, turn to gold. Hacks give you direct control over the program: fire one and bend a dead board back into a live one. Buy, sell, link, and stack until your build clicks.

Boots and gates

A run is six boots. Each boot is a small gate, a big gate, and a boss gate with its own rule that breaks your plan. Clear the boss and the terminal reboots with higher targets. Clear boot 6 and keep going in Endless.

Play alone or Multiplayer against a rival with dedicated matchmaking & Ranked Mode

Multiplayer is one run for two people: same seed, same shop, PVP rounds and items. Decisions differ, and the higher score wins. Queue casual, climb the ranked ladder, or open a private room and challenge a friend.

Go deeper & Unlock new mods

Seven sectors change the game mode rules. Six encryption levels stack on top for players who want the game to fight back. Every run feeds a catalog of what you've found, decrypted, and unlocked.

  • 120 mods, from cheap early combos to run-defining rares
  • 16 enhanced tiles that change how tiles move, merge, and score
  • 20 hacks for direct control over the board
  • 16 boss gates, each with a rule you have to play around
  • 6 boots per run, then Endless
  • 7 sectors (game modes) × 6 encryption levels (difficulty)
  • Seeded runs: share a six-character code and race the same board
  • Online: casual queue, ranked with ELO, private rooms
  • A catalog and unlock ladder that grows every run
  • Runs take about 30 minutes
  • Full controller support & designed for Steam Deck
