About

YOUR JOB

The school administration has identified a computer virus that has been spreading around very, very quickly. It only seems to be affecting the newly acquired devices we got from SiliCorp. Thankfully, we have a special someone that's just right for the job (you).

All you have to do is:

  • Check the provided note to see what is wrong with the device;
  • And fix it! Be it completely wiping the hard drive and re-installing the operating system, installing an anti-virus, or even replacing parts- we know we can count on you!

If you feel that something's weird, feel free to, at any time, shut everything off. Yes, there is a risk of losing progress, but it IS the only way to prevent the virus from spreading further.

We only have ONE week to deal with this. One mistake, and you're out. It's your final chance. You've already received enough warnings from your manager I believe.

And don't even think about doing overtime.

NOT ENOUGH? FINE.

The last person that was dealing with... the issue... DID complain about how inefficient the make-shift setup could be under a lot of stress (and also complained about some other things), so, if you can PROVE you are actually doing your job for once, you can formally submit a new support ticket, that could include requests for, but is not limited to:

  • A range of dedicated devices to aid you in your shift.
  • A secondary desk.
  • ...and office re-location, as per request.

ONE MORE THING

You're gonna have to work the night shift. You didn't seriously expect to be messing around with potentially dangerous and contagious devices during a regular school day, right? We can't risk having the entire computer network being compromised in the middle of recess, duh.

OH, and before you start wondering: Yes, you WILL be receiving a raise.

The night shifts start today. HR has already been notified.

Enjoy the rest of your morning, Martha.
