About

Kindawn: The Parish Remembers is a first-person psychological horror game set in Yakutia in the early 2000s. You return to the town where you grew up as an orphan, only to find that it has changed - and that your memories of the past may be incomplete.

Explore and uncover

Move through interconnected farmsteads, abandoned Soviet-era buildings, and the surrounding boreal wilderness. Find notes, photographs, cassette tapes, and personal belongings that tell the stories of the people who lived here - and help you piece together your own past.

The story unfolds through the places you visit and the things you find. Look closely: an overlooked detail could shed light on the town’s history or a loss you have yet to come to terms with.

Face a growing sense of dread

In Kindawn, tension builds through sound, changes to familiar places, and the creeping realization that something is wrong. When danger finds you, you’ll have to decide whether to fight, hide, or find another way past it.

Setting

The aesthetic of "depressive Far North Siberia" is rendered in full detail: VHS players and cheap tracksuits sit alongside shamanic talismans. Post-Soviet everyday life meets Yakut folklore, and as you piece together your past, the line between local legends and nightmare begins to blur.
