A paradise archipelago, corrupt and chaotic, ruled by a local mafia! Your mission is simple:
Pay your vig and survive another day!
You have 28 days to make enough money, and every day counts. Plan your next moves carefully, because time flies and your choices can completely change the course of your story!
Explore the island, work, take on missions, perform satanic rituals, hunt for treasure, make allies, make enemies, cause chaos or simply relax while the end draws near. The choice is yours!
There are multiple endings, and every decision matters. Be careful who you choose to get involved with. After all, making enemies on this island is easier than making hotdogs!
The story is ours, but the rules are yours!
Junk Rush is a game where your free will is put to the test!
Prepare your hotdogs through a physics-based cooking system, where cooking is more than just selecting options from a menu.
Manipulate your hotdog, ingredients, utensils, and equipment while trying to keep your kitchen running without letting chaos take over and set everything on fire.
Find ingredients across the islands. Some can be found naturally while exploring, others might be found in the trash or obtained in different ways. Buy or steal ingredients from Legal, Illegal, Alternative, or Black Market Shopkeepers.
Each ingredient has unique effects. Add different ingredients to your hotdog and discover new combinations and unexpected effects. Create everything from a true culinary masterpiece to something that should be classified as a biological weapon.
And if that's still not enough, you can perform satanic rituals to transmute items, turning resources that seemed useless into something completely different.
Some extraordinary ingredients and items won't simply be sitting on a shelf. Bosses scattered across the islands guard rare ingredients and powerful rewards, giving you even more reasons to explore and get yourself into trouble.
Your work is divided into different shifts, bringing regular customers, strange customers, culinary critics, or any other type of customer you can imagine into your kitchen. Each one can bring their own situations, demands, and problems. But you don't have to simply serve your customers.
Threaten them, poison them, set them on fire, or commit any atrocity your imagination allows. The problem is, you never know how each customer will react.
Your actions can lead to unexpected results and turn a simple situation into a much bigger problem.
Leaving your kitchen dirty or selling expired ingredients can put you on the radar of the Health Inspector. Likewise, killing people, selling stolen or contraband items can attract the attention of the Police!
Keep an eye on your reputation meters.
Customers, Health Inspector, and the Police can directly affect your gameplay and change how the world reacts to your actions.
And of course, you can pay your taxes or simply evade them and hope you don't get caught.
As you work and explore, you can develop your kitchen and improve your character.
Becoming better prepared for whatever the islands throw your way.
Beware of Climatic Events, ranging from simple and harmless rain to a volcanic eruption ready to make your life harder and unleash even more chaos across the islands!
It's always a good idea to keep an eye on the forecast, because you wouldn't want a natural disaster to catch you by surprise during your day!
And if all of this isn't chaotic enough, you'll also have to deal with unexpected visits from the mafia, coming to collect what you owe.
It's better not to piss these guys off, or it could cost you dearly!
What you do with them is up to you!
And if you simply don't want to make hotdogs, find “alternative” ways to make money. That's your problem!
In the end, your decisions and the way you chose to play will determine which of the multiple endings you will find!
