About

Katanagari is a single-player, old-school point-and-click RPG built around the discovery and exploration. Train skills, complete quests, fight creatures, gather resources, improve your equipment, and play at your own pace.

  • Train skills, fight creatures, complete quests, collect resources, and improve your equipment.
  • There are no classes or fixed builds. Do what you want, when you want.
  • Discover how to use elemental magic in combat, gathering, and exploration.
  • Play entirely alone, with no online economy, social competition, or pressure to keep pace with others.

  • Meet farmers, guards, thieves, cattle, fish, and other inhabitants of the world.
  • Find stranger creatures, too: wandering spirits made of fire, paper, metal, stone, wood, and more.
  • Many creatures and stories draw from folklore across Asia, reimagined for Katanagari's world.
  • Not every creature is hostile. Some offer clues, guard useful places, or simply make the world more interesting.

  • Explore rice fields, shrine roads, wetlands, forests, mountain passes, caves, ruins, and coasts.
  • Visit towns, markets, workshops, docks, temples, prisons, and abandoned camps built by hand.
  • Examine anything in the world to find clues, useful information, easter eggs, and small stories.
  • Follow quests or leave the road to see what you can find. Optional discoveries are a central part of the game.

Choose a direction, see what you find.
