Paper Trails is a narrative detective game where you solve crimes inside a believable desktop environment. Your job is simple: open the files, follow the trail, and prove what happened — before the story outruns you.

You’ll sift through emails, chat logs, reports, photos, receipts, timelines, and hidden metadata, then connect evidence into a clear accusation. Every case is built to feel grounded: messy, human, and full of contradictions.

Need a second brain? Interrogate a responsive AI-driven persona during gameplay. Ask for interpretations, challenge assumptions, request summaries, or push for alternative theories — then decide what to trust.

Cases are generated to create fresh investigations, but the experience stays curated: the goal is not randomness — it’s replayable mystery that still feels authored.
