About This Game
OCULARIS is a handcrafted first-person puzzle game about learning the rules of a world without words. No tutorials, no dialogue, no text: just what you see, what you try, and what happens next.
You awaken in a sequence of abstract chambers built by an ancient, inhuman intelligence. It has watched humanity for longer than it can remember, yet it has forgotten what happens in a mind when something finally makes sense. So, it built these chambers to teach you and to watch that moment happen.
Experiment with unfamiliar mechanisms and learn what they do from their consequences. A small set of rules, learned early, keeps returning in new combinations that ask you to see them differently.
The more you understand, the more the intelligence's confident attention turns to curiosity. In teaching you how to learn, it begins to learn something itself.
