The Glorious Cause is being developed and released in clearly defined phases. Each phase is a complete, fully playable experience, expanding the game’s scope, systems, and depth over time.
FEATURES:

Command a Living Battlefield: Lead historically organized American, British, and Hessian forces where morale, organization, ammunition, experience, casualties, stragglers, and desertion all influence combat effectiveness.
Advanced Adaptive AI: Face an opponent that evaluates objectives, battlefield threats, routes, reserves, defensive positions, local superiority, artillery support, retreats, and opportunities to attack or counterattack. The battlefield evolves differently each time you play with our Adaptive AI, as formations rout, detach, consolidate, gain experience, suffer attrition, and react to changing tactical situations.

Play Every Side: Take command of American, British, or Hessian forces, experiencing the battles of the Ten Crucial Days from opposing perspectives.
Four Scenarios Across the Ten Crucial Days: Fight through the dramatic campaign that changed the course of the American Revolution, with four playable scenarios
Expanded Revolutionary War Unit Roster: Command American State Militia, British Loyalist Militia, British Line Infantry, American Riflemen, Hessian Jägers, British Light Infantry, British and Hessian Grenadiers, and more.
Expanded Artillery Forces: Command historical American, British, and Hessian artillery batteries and use their firepower to support your army across the battlefield. Position, limber, unlimber, maneuver, and fire artillery batteries. Fire Solid Shot for long range cannonade, or when the enemy gets close use Canister to break up the enemy formation.
Detach, Divide & Reorganize Your Army: Create detachments from larger formations, integrate them into units that are holding key objectives, or use them to screen flanks, hold ground, reinforce positions, or conduct independent missions.
Join & Consolidate Units: Merge depleted detachments and formations into new units. A detachment does not have to return to its original parent formation, giving you greater freedom to reorganize your army during battle.
Responsive Fire: Enemy movement can trigger automatic defensive volleys from formations, making advances through an established battle line dangerous and forcing players to consider facing, range, ammunition, and line of sight.

A Complete Command Structure: Command American, British, and Hessian armies through Division and Army Commanders. Control ammunition expenditure at the command level by disabling Responsive Fire for an entire division, or across the whole army with a single order.
Experience Matters: Units gain battlefield experience through every combat encounter and can progress from inexperienced formations toward Veteran, Professional, and even Elite status.
Morale, Organization & Battlefield Attrition: Long marches, combat, casualties, Stragglers, Desertion, routing, and leadership all affect whether a formation can continue fighting effectively.
Leaders Have a Purpose: Brigade & Unit Commanders rally the troops under their command, while Division & Army Commanders can move across the battlefield to support formations, restore cohesion, steady shaken troops, and respond to developing crises.
Detailed Revolutionary War Combat: From weapon type, terrain type, terrain elevation, troop quality, ammunition, morale, organization, and battlefield conditions influence the outcome of musket, rifle, artillery, charge, and melee combat.

Terrain That Shapes the Battle: Roads, snow, woods, towns, elevation, streams, rivers, bridges, and other terrain affect movement, positioning, combat, and the routes available to your army.
Track the Cost of Battle: Follow casualties, captured troops, Stragglers, Deserters, routed formations, and remaining manpower for both armies as the battle unfolds with our detailed battlefield interface.

Leader Bonuses. Commanders provide additional battlefield bonuses to the brigades and formations under their leadership, improving the effectiveness of troops operating with experienced officers.
Artillery Responsive Fire. Artillery batteries can now react to enemy movement with Responsive Fire, giving them a chance to disrupt or break up an enemy formation before it reaches the guns.
Destructible Buildings. Artillery can target enemy-occupied houses and buildings. Reduce a structure to 0% integrity and it will collapse, inflicting heavy casualties on any troops still inside.
Unit Range & Damage Preview. Select one of your formations and hover over an enemy within range to see an estimated casualty result before committing to infantry or artillery fire.

The Battle of Trenton demo places the player in command of the American Army as it advances toward Trenton. Hessian forces have established outposts outside the town, and early engagements risk alerting the main garrison.
Historically, the Hessian defenders were caught unprepared after Christmas celebrations. A unique alert system allows players to eliminate outposts, storm the town, and seize the Hessian position with minimal resistance if executed correctly, closely mirroring historical events.
The demo includes both victory and defeat conditions. Heavy losses will lead to failure, but careful strategy, timely rallies, and innovative tactics can result in a decisive victory , including the possibility of routing the Hessian army entirely by surprise.
