About

"I took a job as a night security guard at a local school. Great, just me, an empty building, and silence until the sun comes up. I hope that a simple job, the quiet hallways, and the night air will finally bring me some peace of mind"

Late Night Duty is a short, linear narrative-driven psychological horror walking simulator set in Malaysia about a discharged veteran haunted by combat PTSD, on his first night shift as a school security guard.

To begin your employment as a night security guard, please report to the security post. You'll find your flashlight, the patrol scanner, and the patrol logbook on the desk. For your first shift, ensure you check in at all designated patrol points around the school.

The deeper into the shift you go, the harder it gets to tell what is a hallucination, and what is actually waiting for you in the dark.

Main Features:

  • Patrol aesthetics of school somewhere in Malaysia
  • Retro PSX visuals stylized as mid-2000s games
  • ~1 hour playtime designed for one sitting
