About

A quiet graveyard. An endless night. One debt to settle.

Death has put you in charge of a neglected cemetery with one simple instruction: turn incoming coffins into payment.

At first, every part of the job is yours. Prepare the graves, move the coffins, bury the dead, wait for the cursed earth to finish its work, and collect the Souls, Bones, and Gold left behind.

Work the graveyard by hand

Every coffin moves through a physical production chain:

  • Receive coffins through Death's portal.
  • Dig and prepare reusable graves.
  • Carry, place, and bury each coffin.
  • Collect the resources produced after processing.

The work is simple, physical, and deliberately hands-on. A better shovel and a more efficient layout help, but nothing moves until somebody does the job.

Hire a crew and automate the routine

Spend what you earn to hire friendly skeleton workers. Carriers move coffins, gravediggers handle the soil, and collectors recover useful remains. Improve their professions and organize the yard so each worker has a clear job to do.

Upgrade the portal, your tools, and the graveyard infrastructure. Open more working space and turn a messy manual chore into a small supernatural production line.

Meet Whiskey

Grow the operation. Pay what you owe.

Each payment raises Death's next demand. Decide when to expand, when to upgrade, and when to deposit your hard-earned Souls at the altar.

Bury the Debt is a compact single-player management game about the satisfying transition from manual labor to automation. The graveyard is locked in eternal night, with no failure clock or dawn timer. Work at your own pace and pay the debt when you are ready.
