Description
Taiyi Saga is a deck-building roguelike set in Chinese mythology. Pulled into a god's private realm, you build your deck, battle rival gods' invaders, and collect relics forged from ancient beasts — fighting your way toward the truth, and a way home.
About

The ancient beasts, the ascended immortals — all that remains of them now are scattered whispers and half-told tales.
Why did the gods and spirits vanish from the world? It all begins with a single broken god-realm.

You were not born to this world. The sovereign god Taiyi drew you into a small world he keeps for himself — a mortal, trapped upon a god’s game board. Fight battle after battle to uncover the truth of this realm, and find your way back to the mortal world.

A card’s growth goes far beyond a simple “level up”:
• Upgrade Paths — every card can grow along several routes; the choice is yours.
• Soul Enchant — bind extra effects onto a card until it transforms.
• Relics · Rewrite the Rules — relics don’t just boost numbers; they rewrite how the fight works.
• New Cards — unlock fresh cards along the way to deepen your pool.

The Martialist trades blows up close with fist, foot, and inner Qi; the Artificer keeps foes at bay with Luban contraptions and ammunition… Each class brings its own cards, skills, and gear — and its own way to survive.

Press deeper across the world map, where elites, bosses, events, and secrets wait in the mist for your choice. Every layer draws you closer to this world’s core — and the truth may weigh far heavier than “going home” ever did.

The heart of this game’s combat: battles don’t play out in a single row, but across a 3×3 grid — where positioning is strategy. Melee units hold the front line and soak damage; ranged fighters and summons hang back to blanket the field with fire. A single step can dodge a pit-fire, slip past a trap, or make an enemy’s heavy blow whiff. Foes maneuver too — read the red-cell attack zones, the spreading pit-fire, and the hidden mechanisms if you mean to have the last laugh.

It starts with your Spirit Root. Beyond the five Wu Xing roots — Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth — six hidden roots await discovery on your journey. Each root has three tiers; the higher the tier, the more unusual the upgrade paths it unlocks. A root’s type and tier reshape the upgrade paths of most of your cards: the same card grows into a wholly different form under a different root. Your Spirit Root sets the course of the entire deck.
