About
About the Game
Elegy for a Violet is a deck-building game inspired by Spider Solitaire.
In the game, you can freely combine a variety of different cards to build your own powerful deck.
During battle, you and your opponent take turns playing cards, placing them into four shared piles. The order of your plays and the values of your cards will directly affect the damage you deal or receive.
The shared piles create more room for strategic tension. You must use your cards carefully — or turn the enemy's cards against them — to shape the battlefield in your favor.
This is not a game about simply stacking numbers. The enemy's playstyle and the state of the piles are both crucial factors. Even with a powerful deck, you must fight carefully and deliberately to win.
Each enemy archetype has its own unique mechanics, and the indestructible "flagship" cards can completely change the pace of a battle. You'll need to constantly adapt your strategy and find new ways to break through.
About Me
This is my first released game, and it means a great deal to me.
I made this game over my summer vacation. Due to a tight schedule, limited technical skills, and lack of experience, it may look a little rough around the edges. But I truly poured a lot of passion into this project (even though I also wish I could have poured in more technical skill and production power).
So I really hope you can enjoy it.
If you like short but well-crafted indie games, please give Elegy for a Violet a try.
Thank you!!!
