About

Ninja boy and Yo-kai s a 2D exploration-based platform

Set in Japan's Sengoku period, embark on a journey through the small nation of Mizuya alongside the protagonist, Jin.

Jin, a young boy training to become a ninja, lives a peaceful life—balancing his daily training with playing alongside his childhood friend, Sakurano, the princess of the nation. However, he soon notices that a strange anomaly is taking over his village.

A castle shrouded in dark clouds, a sudden swarm of yokai... and ultimately, Jin loses his life at the hands of a mysterious ninja.

Granted the power to travel back and forth between the afterlife ("Tokoyo") and the living world ("Utsushiyo"), Jin uses his "Tokoyo-Crossing" ability to forge ahead alone toward the castle where Sakurano awaits.

Will Jin be able to restore peace to his village?

Game Overview

This is a jump-action game where you defeat yokai with your trusty kunai. Unlock skills like mid-air dashes and double jumps to expand your range of exploration!

Key Features

  • Throw your kunai into walls to create footholds and expand your exploration range

  • Use your "Toko-yo Watari" ability to stop time, avoid traps, and fight terrifying yokai.

  • We've aimed for smooth, responsive, and satisfying action that reacts instantly to player input!

Instant Action: Actions have no cooldown or startup frames, and movement reaches max speed instantly.

Coyote Time: You can still jump for a brief moment after walking off a platform.

Input Buffering: Your action will still be performed even if you press the button slightly too early.

Ledge Correction: You can climb small ledges even if your jump doesn't quite reach, and you'll automatically vault over small bumps.

We've made many other adjustments to create a satisfying feel! We've dedicated a lot of time to the fundamentals of what makes a great action game.
