About

A sketchbook that talks back.

Sketch Play is a drawing game built around a digital sketchbook. Draw with Photoshop-style tools, get honest feedback on your work, and unlock advanced drawing tools. Scholia is the critic who lives in your sketchbook. She looks at the page and writes her impressions and recommendations, awarding you experience points to spend on tools.

Scholia cannot draw. She has no ability to generate images or touch your page. Every mark in your sketchbook is yours.

Tools

  • Pencil, eyedropper, and paint bucket
  • 32-slot editable color palette
  • Undo/redo history
  • Stroke size and smoothing

Draw together

No lobbies, no codes, no setup. Anyone running Sketch Play on the same Wi-Fi network has their sketchbook show up beside you.

  • Your book is locked by default — nobody draws in it until you say yes
  • Watch each other's cursors and strokes live
  • Studio chat for everything said in the session.
