PhotoGuessr is an observation puzzle game where a small cropped detail is your only clue. Study the full photograph, determine where the detail came from, and place your pin on the location you think is correct.
Compare colors, shapes, shadows, patterns, and composition. The closer your pin is to the correct location, the higher your score.
“Where does this shadow begin?”
“Is this pattern close to the edge?”
“Which part of the photograph has the same background color?”
Spotting these tiny clues and gradually closing in on the answer is at the heart of PhotoGuessr.
Solo mode challenges you to earn the highest total score across five rounds, with 30 seconds to answer each one.
Your score is based on how close your answer is to the correct location. Accurate answers made quickly also earn a time bonus. Take your time to examine every detail, or trust your instincts and answer fast—the choice can make the difference between a good score and a new personal best.
Choose from ten categories—Sports, Food, Nature, Crafts & Art, Vehicles, Architecture, Electronics, Wildlife, Textures, and Landmarks—or play Random for a mix of different challenges.
Track your best scores, fastest perfect runs, and other personal records, then compete for a place on the online leaderboard for each category.
Compete with 2–8 players as everyone attempts to locate the same detail in the same photograph.
Join a public room or play through a room code or password. After each round, compare every player’s answer location, distance from the target, and score.
Everyone sees the same image, but not everyone notices the same clues. Challenge your friends or other players and find out who has the sharpest eye.
