Dungeons & Procedural Generation

The world of ROAM is a vast network of procedurally generated caves. Random hazards and events ensure that no two journeys are the same, but knowledge of previously explored areas, along with clever use of your equipment and consumables, will help you adapt to dangerous situations—or avoid them entirely.

Grappling Hook

One of the game's core mechanics is the Grappling Hook. Use it to latch onto walls, swing across chasms, discover hidden passages, escape from enemies, or pull them toward you. Both combat and platforming are deeply built around mastering this versatile tool.

Gameplay variety

In addition to deadly platforming, you will:

• Fight your way through a hostile underground using a wide variety of weapons, equipment, and magic.
• Gather resources and craft new gear and consumables at campfires.
