About the Game

Food Truck Empire is a management game where you build your own food truck business. As a fast-food fledgling, it’s your goal to turn a humble burger van into a fleet of mobile restaurants that feed every street corner in town! 

Figure out what each neighborhood craves, design and automate your production lines, research new tech, and take on competing businesses, all to earn those coveted 5-star reviews! The city’s tastebuds are yours to conquer. 

Order up! Your truck’s interior isn't decoration: a sprawling kitchen turns a burger into a six-minute wait, while a tight, well-planned loop gets it to the window in ninety seconds. Create quick, automated routes between your culinary stations from prep, to cooking, to assembly. You’ll need to strongly optimize the production line, connecting all the workspaces to ensure your service is speedy and efficient, but without compromising on quality. 5-star reviews don’t come easy!

Be ready to move out during city events! These limited-time surges will see neighbor activity spike, providing you with additional opportunities to sell your food to hungry customers! From movie premieres to college football matches, being in the right location at the right time can boost sales significantly, resulting in faster objective progression and growth. But, get there too late… and you could miss out on a valuable opportunity (and a whole lotta dough!).

Different neighborhoods will have different culinary preferences, so somebody’s yuck may be somebody else’s yum. Pay attention to each customer group and choose wisely where to deploy your fleet. You’ll need to tailor your take-out to suit different hungry folk; will you focus on the busy bankers on their lunch breaks, or the partygoers at nighttime looking for a quick bite? Be quick though, you’ll want to be the first fast-food vendor pulling up to the scene!

Yours isn’t the only street food business in town... Rivals will be patrolling the streets with their own fast-food fleet, and each will have different personalities, goals and objectives, all competing against your own. Take control of the city’s neighborhoods by selling food and growing your company’s reputation in each district, and make sure the competing businesses don’t lay claim to your hard-earned customers!

Put the work in! Getting your hands on new ingredients and machines requires a little time and effort. Build a research lab in your HQ and invest in the tech needed to boost your food truck business, and learn how to fry, bake, smoke, barbecue and more! From shorter wait times to new processes and cooking equipment, head to the lab to level up your grub. You can also construct storage and office areas, as well as unlock new departments and facilities to stay ahead of the competition.

Hold the ketchup, it’s not all burgers and buns. Switch up your equipment as you unlock new ingredients and cooking methods to experiment with recipes. Sushi, hot dogs, tacos… there’s loads of different grab-and-go cuisines to discover! Customers will have their preferences too, and each demographic will have different expectations. Your clientele in the city center may be craving a gourmet pizza with a hefty price tag, but your patrons on the outskirts of town might be after some cheap n’ cheerful eats. It’s your job to craft the recipes that tick all their boxes.

TOP TIP: If you’re after maximum ratings, ditch the pre-made patties: mince your own meat and process your own vegetables to raise the flavor ceiling!

Before you buckle-up and head into the city, make sure your truck fits your branding. Choose your company name and then customize your truck’s shape, colors, accessories, and slap on some funky stickers to make your vehicles unmissable. You can even get creative and draw your own designs if you’re feeling adventurous.
